At the shop...

Alaskan Wood Frog
Andy found this cute little forest frog, "Alaskan Wood Frogs" I believe is what they are called, in our garden. He caught it for a bit to show the kids and then we let him go back into the garden where maybe we'll see it again. These little things are tough, they burrow under vegetation on the forest floor for the winter and hibernate by slowing their heart rate and basically freezing until spring. We have only seen a couple of them here in our yard before. Cute!
