I loved how the trail hugs the lake. Gorgeous! Just last week this lake still had some ice on it. But we have had lots of awesome weather lately, sun & warmth. Great way to spend a birthday with all 3 of my boys...

South Denali View Point

On our way to Byers Lake for a picnic and hike we stopped at the "South Denali View Point" on the George Parks Highway almost an hour North of where we live. It was beautiful day out, also my Birthday, and I got some great photos. Including this family shot, thanx to my camera timer, something we don't get many of. Love it!

We have been getting out into the "Summer-like" weather that we have been getting, finally. I have also
been keeping busy with 2 Open Air Market weekends already done. The 1st week we showed up to snow
and this weekend it was 80 degrees out! Good start to the season... Hope your also enjoying summer.
Hawken is interested in bike riding now, so we have been making daily trips out to our bike path! More to come.

I just found another really good song "Fix Me Up" this time being sung by Zach Sobiech and his best friend Sammy. Their band is called A Firm Handshake Band and there are a bunch of videos on you tube if you look them up. I like their sound a lot, may need to find a CD.

This 18 year old kid will teach the world compassion. He passed away yesterday and this 23 minute long documentary on him and his family is so worth watching. I think his song is also really good and we will all be hearing it a lot... The first link here is the documentary and the second is the celebrity music video to his song "Clouds" that was made for him. It's an inspiring story. Watch it and pass it around.
