A Loon With Babies

You can see one of the babies is riding on her back while the other follows her. Cute little Loon family on  Christiansen Lake here in  Talkeetna. We saw them in a cove while out in the lake boat.

Hawk on the lake...

The boys had fun on the boat. It was a little hot out and Hawken got tired, he had to take a rest for a bit. But then he  got a second wind and he was ready for more...

Jaxon on the lake. He's lost a couple teeth lately too. Love the toothless smile! We had trout for dinner, Jaxon's favorite, after a nice day on the boat...

a swim at the lake

Swimming isn't something we get to do all summer here. The last few have been cold and rainy, but this year we are breaking heat records. Today topped out at 95 degrees! It's been quite hot for a couple weeks now. So after the open air market this weekend my friend Madonna and I went for a swim. Had the lake to ourselves and it was awesome...
